Recorded browser actions converted into a numbered standard operating procedure

Prepare a clean recording run

Close unrelated tabs, use realistic test data, and define the start and end state. A short successful run produces a clearer SOP than a recording filled with exploration and corrections.

Capture actions with context

Record clicks, typed values, navigation, and screenshots that explain what changed. Each step should identify the action and the expected result, not simply repeat the button label.

Edit and redact before sharing

Remove accidental steps, combine repeated actions, clarify ambiguous labels, and mask personal data, tokens, account identifiers, and confidential page content.

Export an editable document

Use Markdown or HTML when the SOP will live in documentation software and PDF when a fixed review copy is needed. Include prerequisites, owner, last reviewed date, and a clear completion state.
